Our roots trace back to the 1971 formation of the Able Contracting Group, Inc, which operated as Able Fence and Guardrail. Able successfully operated for 38 years and grew to become one of Ohio’s largest fence and guardrail installers.
In 2008, Able’s owners decided to retire and cease operations. Key employees from Able formed Cuyahoga Fence to continue the tradition of providing high quality guardrail and perimeter security solutions to customers across the State of Ohio. As Cuyahoga Fence began field operations in January 2009, we saw immediate success completing jobs for various correctional institutions, The Cleveland Metroparks, The Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Cliffs, NASA, and various Ohio Department of Transportation jobs ranging in value from $100,000 to over $1.5 million.
We are affiliated with various heavy highway unions, have strong bonding capacity, and are insured for all customary contract requirements. We successfully perform work in all of Ohio, Southern Michigan, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, and eastern Indiana.
